清华大学核能与新能源技术研究院新型能源与材料化学研究室主任,研究员,博士生导师,锂离子电池课题组学术带头人。1982年考入清华大学化学化工系,1987年获工学学士学位,1989年获工学硕士学位。1989年进入清华大学核能与新能源技术研究院工作,2007年获工学博士学位。
20多年来,一直从事锂离子电池及其关键材料研究,重点围绕锂离子电池的电性能及安全性关键科学问题,以材料化学为核心,通过多学科协同的创新解决锂离子电池中的关键材料技术、关键设计及制造技术及关键测试评估技术。在高比能量负极规模化制备技术、聚合物基高稳定性电解质、氧化物正极材料安全性改性方面具有丰富的生产研发经验。并从材料、电芯、模组层面,以及生产制造技术方面,研究解决动力电池的一致性、安全性、热特性,以及可靠性的问题。在国际上率先提出低成本红磷负极储锂材料、低成本凝胶电解质技术等创新技术。
著有《锂离子电池正极材料规模化生产技术》、《聚合物性能与结构》、《电动汽车动力电池系统安全分析与设计》、《锂离子电池模组设计手册》等专著。获发明专利授权超过300项,发表SCI论文230多篇,他引3640余次。获一次部级技术发明一等奖。
   He Xiangming, Dr. Professor, Director of the New Energy & Materials Chemistry Laboratory, Institute of Nuclear & New Energy Technology, Tsinghua University. Academic leader of Li ion battery group. He was admitted to the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University In 1982. He received a Bachelor of Engineering in 1987 and a Master of Engineering in 1989. He was employed as faculty member in the Institute of Nuclear & New Energy Technology, Tsinghua University since 1989, and received his doctorate degree in engineering in 2007.
  In the R&D of lithium ion batteries and their key materials over 20 years, focusing on the pivotal scientific fundamental of the electrical performance and safety of lithium ion batteries. Based on material chemistry, the key materials technology, key design and manufacturing technologies and key testing and evaluation techniques are solved in lithium-ion batteries through multidisciplinary collaborative innovation. He has gained rich R&D experience of scale-up in high capacity electrode materials, polymer based high stability electrolyte, oxide cathode material safety modification and so on. The consistency, safety, thermal stability/characteristics and reliability of the Li-ion batteries are solved by the all levels of the material, the cell design, the pack/module, and their manufacturing technology. He pioneered the innovative technologies of low cost red phosphorus anode lithium storage materials and low cost gel electrolyte technology.
 He has authored/co-authored books of "the scale production technology of lithium ion battery electrode materials", "polymer performance and structure", "electric vehicle power battery system safety analysis and design", "lithium ion battery module design manual" and so on. More than 300 authorized patents have been granted, and more than 230 SCI papers are authored/co-authored, and cited more than 3640 times. The first prize of the technical invention was awarded in the Ministerial and Provincial-Level Science and Technology Awards.

2003年至今,围绕锂离子电池的电性能及安全性重大需求,以材料化学为核心、通过多学科协同的创新解决关键材料、关键设计及关键技术。

(1)           研发出了新型高比容量负极材料及规模化制备技术,即聚丙烯腈低温热解复合法制备纳米合金负极材料和原位碳热还原法制备球状微纳包埋合金负极材料;

(2)           研发出系列聚合物基高稳定性电解质,提出了相转移法制备凝胶聚合物电解质的新技术,设计并合成出星形及梳状聚合物电解制添加剂;

(3)           研发出了氧化物正极材料的安全性改性技术,通过吸附反应技术实现了纳米非晶层对氧化物颗粒的完整包覆,克服了现有颗粒堆积包覆技术对材料性能造成的影响;

(4)           研发出了高安全性、长寿命锂离子电池技术体系,集成课题组及国际上在材料、电池结构、电池管理等方面的创新成果,攻克了大型安全性动力电池制备及应用的关键难题;

(5)           设计提出新型硫基电池结构,通过研发预锂化技术,回避金属锂负极的使用,解决了现有锂硫电池电性能差及安全性能的巨大缺陷;

(6)           在国际上率先提出以低成本的红磷为储锂负极材料、并开展了无机/高分子杂化硫基储锂正极材料的研究,研究结果发表在Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.IF=13.4)等领域一级刊物上, 6项发明专利已获授权

(7)           研发出高性能磷酸铁锂可规模化制备技术,实现了纳米片自组装高密度球形磷酸铁锂的可控制备,提出了纳米片状及多级结构磷酸铁锂的制备技术及工艺,产品电化学性能优异,研究结果发表于Nano Lett.IF=13.2),已申报多项发明专利。

1991年首次设计出适合于机械手操作的热室用微型离心萃取器,如下图,并首次实现了德国和英国相关研究机构的出口,为国家赚取了宝贵的外汇。

1994年首次在701热室中成功安装50级紧凑型微型离心萃取器,该萃取器可用机械手在热室中自动取样,如下图。为完成TRPO流程的首次热验证,提供了设备保障。该图发表在当期人民日报头版上,该成果后来发表于《化学工程通讯》(Xiangming He, Development of compact miniature annular centrifugal contactor for hot cell placement, Chemical Engineering Communications, 2008, 195, 1227-1239
